A: There are three voting methods: you may vote online at www.votefortablemountain.com. You can also vote by SMSing "TABLE" to 34874 at a cost of R2 per SMS, but the most efficient way is through the MXit voting platform.

Q: What is the New7Wonders competition? Who organises it? Why is it such a big deal?

 A: The New7Wonders competition is all about officially recognising seven of the most beautiful and prolific icons of nature from all over the world. The worldwide competition is run by the New7Wonders committee.  For a detailed explanation, click through to the presentations section.

Q: What happens if we win? What are the benefits?

A: Table Mountain will have cemented its iconic, worldwide status. There will also be a major economic benefit - should our mountain win it will generate R1.4 billion annually to tourism and will create 11 000 much needed jobs.

Q: Why should Table Mountain be considered as one of the  New7Wonders of Nature.

A: Table Mountain is the iconic backdrop that watches over the Mother City. Our world-class cableway allows you to take a ride to the summit and soak up the natural beauty which includes: breathtaking views, endemic flora, a plethora of fauna and the newly revamped Table Mountain Cafe - to mention but a few. It is an adventure like no other and deserves its place in history.

Q: Which celebrities support Table Mountain's bid?

A: We have many well-known and revered personalities endorsing the campaign. The Springboks are official ambassadors along with: the Archbishop Desmond Tutu, WWE Smackdown's, Justin Gabriel, Soli Philander and many more.
